A Gulf based socio-cultural activist and theatre artist turned cine actor. Sudhakaran has been introduced in to the malayalam cinema by late P.Padmarajan through his block buster movie “Innele” in 1990 as a villainous character “Samuel Achayan” later commonly known as “Achayan” in the film industry.
Sudhakaran,born at Kayamkulam, Alleppey district, a civil engineer by profession worked with international consultants and contractors in Abu Dhabi,UAE from 1971and later moved to Doha, Qatar in 1986 and working with a reputed company as the Senior Contracts Manager for more than 30 years.
Sudhakaran, as a theatre artist directed and acted several dramas in the Gulf region and obtained several awards including Kerala state award.

Sudhakaran,born at Kayamkulam,Alleppey district,a civil engineer by profession worked with international consultants and contractors in Abu Dhabi,UAE from 1971 and later moved to Doha, Qatar in 1986 worked with Lotus Trading & Contracting Company as the Senior Contracts Administrator for 30years and retired and relocated to Kerala in April 2016.
Sudhakaran,as a theatre artist directed and acted several dramas and in Kerala,Abu Dhabi and Qatar and obtained several awards including the Best actor State level Award in All Kerala Polytechnic Drama Competition in 1969 and the Best actor Award in the first Abu Dhabi Malayali Samajam Drama competition in 1972.
While in Doha actively involved in the socio cultural anddrama field since 1986,the first drama “Swapnangal Nashtappettavar” directed and acted in 1988.The subsequent years Pramani,Thevaram,and Devasparsam in association with Charisma arts.
Pravasi Doha was formed in 1994 by a group of prominent Doha malayalees with the intiative of Babu Mether,M.A.Rahman,P.Semusudheen,Sam.Basheer and K.K.Sudhakaran.The first Managing committee was elected unanimously K.K.Sudhakaran as the Chairman with a 15 member team.M.T.Vasudevan Nair and Prof.M.N.Vijayan as the Patrons.Pravasi Doha instituted an award in memory of the legendary writer Vaikom Mohamed Basheer who passed away on July 5,1994.Basheer Puraskaram is being given to 23 recipients n the past 23 years without break by Pravasi Trust,Kochi.
Pravasi Doha organized and International film festival in 1995,to commemorate the centenary of world cinema then continued in the following years as Indian Film Festivals without break until 2014.
“Nadaka Sauhrutham Doha” formed on 24th March 2015,conducted month long theatre camp,Presented “Marupiravi”drama in FCC Drama competition.The World Theatre Day was commemorated on 27th March 2016 followed by the theatrical presentation of drama “Kaimughangal”
Sudhakaran has been honoured by Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy in 2015 with “Gulf Kalashri” Puraskaram for his experience in theatre in activities in the Gulf region.
Sudharan’s family includes wife,late Seethalekshmi Sudhakaran,daughter a practicing advocate Adv.Sudhalekshmi,son Sudheer Sudhakaran an Engineer working in Australia.
